Here’s a sneak peek of some completed project photos! A hark back to warmer summer days, when talented architectural photographer Dan Paton snapped a few of our projects, which will go on our website very soon. This red brick 1930s ex-council house was modest in size with a dark and dingy bathroom on the ground floor and no separate dining room. The loft had received spray-foam insulation to the underside of rafters and tiles, putting them at risk of condensation and eventual rot.
Our solution was to offer a tall and bright rear extension with an asymmetric roof to avoid the windows above. The kitchen remained in the same location to simplify drainage, while the bathroom was converted into a utility / dog shower room with glazed bricks above for borrowed light. A new bathroom was created upstairs and the loft converted to provide incredible new views to mature trees beyond. The client’s wonderful eye for design and colour have resulted in some stunning interior spaces.
As architects, we love working with our clients to turn ordinary homes into extraordinary ones. As specialists in low energy and ecological design, we embed this into all of our designs as standard. Get in touch if you have a project in mind.
