We’ve won an award! Our project on Ferry Road in Marston has been named Graphisoft’s New Practice Project of the Year. This new-build eco home on the edge of the floodplain meadows of the River Cherwell is what Sow Space is all about – responding to site, building connection with nature, and minimising environmental impact – all the while creating beautiful, healthy spaces for our clients to live in. And as our very first commission, this project will always be close to our heart, so we’re thrilled it’s been recognised.
Designed to Passivhaus principles, using natural materials where possible, the project was developed from the outset with 3D BIM modelling in ArchiCAD. We find this an efficient way to collate information across a project. At Ferry Road it enabled effective coordination with suppliers of different elements such as the timber frame, windows, and doors; helped maintain the accuracy needed to achieve requisite levels of airtightness; and ensured a buildability and finish to the most complex elements that our client would be proud of.
We’re passionate about working with our clients to create low impact, ecological homes that are a joy to be in. Get in touch if you have a project in mind.
